For those of you who have been supporting TrueExclusives (or me) from the beginning, you’ll know I always have something to say. Whether it’s through a video log, Twitter rant, Facebook status or whatever. A lot of times I’ll have thoughts that I keep to myself, simply because 140 characters are not enough or because I feel like it’s “too much” for social media. Not anymore! I’ve decided to expand on something I call #SilentThoughts…
A man or woman will only put work in for a person they really want.
The saying goes; “It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone.” While this might not be 100% accurate; for the most part (whether they admit it or not), humans know instantly if they want to pursue someone. Whether it be friendship, dating, sex or whatever.
Often times people ask “how do I know if he/she likes me?” I believe these people are denying the obvious. In my opinion, you will know when someone is interested. When someone’s genuinely interested in you, they consistently demonstrate their interest and leave you without doubts. They put in work.
What if they just don’t have the “time” for me? What if the “timing” isn’t right? What if… NO! Stop making excuses and rationalizing their inconsistent behavior! Nobody is that busy and when someone is genuinely interested they find the time.
If there comes a time when someone shows somewhat of an interest, but isn’t providing what you desire; voice your displeasure with their actions. Let them know how you feel. Communication is pivotal in any relationship. If they’re really interested in you, they will step their game up or come up with a compromise in the situation.
I say all this to say; everything in life is give and take. Want respect, love, kindness and more? Earn it. If you provide all of the things you desire, chances are it’ll be returned tenfold. But, if you’ve done all you could and you’re still unhappy, surrender and move on. You can’t control the outcome of things and by surrendering, you allow the flow to return in your life.
“When we spend our time trying to control everything in our life it creates a blockage, we become static in our journey, we restrict our own flow!” Anonymous.
