Raven-Symoné has been capturing our attention since her very start in showbusiness as the 3-year-old “Cosby” youngster Olivia Kendall. Now fast-forward to 2018, the 32-year-old is playing a mom on the Disney “That’s So Raven” spinoff: “Raven’s Home”.
Raven recently sat down with the press to discuss what it is like returning to her Disney fame and what new experiences has she learned from being an executive producer for the program.
“When you learn to get on a tight rope, you’re not just going to jump up on the tallest building. You’re going to start a little bit low to the ground so you have a net to catch you. I’m continuously having to make choices (as executive producer) that I didn’t have to make before, in a place where I know that if I fall, there’s someone to catch me,” she quoted per “Detroit News”.
Symoné also went into context of her reluctance to return to television, adding: “I actually didn’t want to do anything, because the entertainment industry will drain you and then spit you out if you’re not what they want and then leave you for dead.”
But it was a phone call from the Disney network that changed her perspective, when networkers greenlit a program with Raven in mind.
While the Disney veteran is enjoying her comeback success, many are also wondering: when is a new album coming?
It has been a whole ten years since the release of a full-length album by the movie starlet; her last being 2008’s self-titled effort “Raven-Symoné”.
While there is no official word on when an actual album will be released, Raven confirmed to “The View” two years ago that she is working on music independently and a small taste of what is to come will be previewed on her social media outlets in due time. Until the time being, here is the latest known track lifted from the forthcoming project; a song titled “Cruise Control”:
