The second annual Dream, Reach, Inspire event was held this past Saturday, at Brooklyn’s St. Francis College. Honorees and special guests included; Latavia Roberson (Grammy Award winning founding member of Destiny’s Child), NY Giants player Jonathan Casillas, Demetria McKinney (RHOA & BET’s The Quad) and Beauty Icon Miko Branch (Miss Jessie’s Hair).
Each honoree spoke on trails and tribulations that eventually inspired them to propel themselves to where they are now.
The annual event was founded by Phil Taitt of The Phil Taitt Show, which has been featured on Cablevision, Time Warner, Verizon Fios and Brooklyn Independent Media. Taitt’s goal with Dream, Reach, Inspire is to shed light on recognizing the need for funds for minority high school seniors going off to college.
Proceeds from Dream, Reach, Inspire will go to Unity in the Community’s Do Right, Do Good Scholarship Foundation, which provides students with financial funds to attend college.
