Superstar, Beyonce topped the bill this Labor Day weekend as she headlined the Made In America festival in Philadelphia on September 5th. This was the first year that the fest did not feature one headliner from mainstream rock, as Billboard chart topper, The Weekend assisted the queen in reigning the years most anticipated musical events. This year exhibited more of a hip-hop and R&B festival, that includes other genres, but did not emphasize them equally.
At 10:30pm, the lights went out to prep the audience for the queen’s grand entrance. Yonce, accompanied by 8 other dancers gave a modern twist on the ‘Cell Block Tango’, as Bey was raised to the top of the stage to set up for her opening number of ‘Crazy In Love.‘ off of the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. Bey twerked and sang like no other, moving through her catalog of hits with songs such as ‘Haunted‘, ‘Ring the Alarm‘, ‘Feeling Myself’ and an random moment of ‘Throw Dat A**.‘
