It was such a bittersweet occasion this past Sunday, August 2nd when Grammy winner, Brandy Norwood took her final curtain call at the Ambassador Theater to finish her spectacular run as Roxie Hart in the Tony Award winning musical, Chicago.
After every show, the humble ‘Vocal Bible’ meets and greets with hundreds of fans who get an intimate moment to express their love for the praised singer. During her final encounters with her fans, the streets of Times Square were flooded with supporters who cried, sang, snapped photos, and celebrated as the Diva signed autographs before heading back to the west coast. This moment became a one for the books, as a car suddenly pulls up next to the crowd blaring Brandy’s 2002 hit single, ‘Full Moon‘, which signaled the streets to join in with what became a welcomed #BrandyBlockParty. More fans began to fill the streets while chanting every word to every Brandy song blasting from the vehicle. The concert went on until Norwood finished signing every autograph, and snapping every photo, while even managing to give her fans life with her random sickening vocal moments.
This moment was truly perfect for the evening, and we’re sure Brandy felt the heart of the whole city that night! Who needs attention on a subway car when the city is actually the one really preparing to embrace you? Go Brandy! Join the #BrandyBlockParty below!

And for a Double #FlashBackFriday, We sat down with Brandy almost 4 years ago, prior to the release of her last studio album, Two Eleven. The progressive singer expressed her fear of doing Broadway. The moment ended with Brandy saying ‘I’m gonna do Broadway!’, and 4 years later look what you have conquered!
