It’s the day you’ve all been waiting for. We’ve been searching through all of the submissions we’ve received since our first #TrueTalentTuesday, and are shocked by the response of amazingly talented artists we’ve seen.
This week are eyes and ears steered towards Compton born singer/songwriter, Brittany Barber. Barber’s unique sultry tone stood out, as well as her amazing workmanship. From being welcomed in the doors of Capitol Records, to invitations at Motown and landing a deal with Neyo’s Compound ENT, the songbird definitely is not selfish when called to lend her talents. Writing records for Ravaughn, Ex factor triplet, Dollhouse, Judith Hill and even reality show star/singer Keyshia Cole, Barber shows that hard-work and self motivation is all it takes to help make your dreams reality.
Brittany has found a way to take part of every aspect of the music industry. Barber can ocassionally be seen “Chantuesing” at Tisha and Duane Martin‘s Xen Lounge, or touring with singer Chrisette Michelle. Starting by assisting from the background, Brittany is surely making her way to the forefront.
Check out her most recent cover to K. Michelle‘s hit single ‘Can’t Raise A Man’. The singer/songwriter keeps her vocals very clean in her rendition, while complimenting the song with her signature sultry vocals. Get into it below. Are you here for Brittany Barber? We’re definitely here for organic artist that breaks the mold on what should be “popular”.
