My friend text me a link to Lil’ Mo, from R&B Divas LA on TVone, new music. I was expecting ballads and forced lyrics but, HELL NO, Lil’ Mo was not giving that to me AT ALL. Her first song “Sanctified 4real,” punk slapped me with abrupt rap lyrics about talking fool but still being sanctified. At first, I was taken back, ready to judge her, and turn the album off. Against my conscious, I journeyed on to listen to her album because I was curious on what else she would have to say.
I’M SOOOOOOOOOOOO DAM GLAD I DID! Mrs. Lil’ Mo is a much-needed talent in the music industry. Not only did she maintain being current but she stayed true to her original style we all loved when she came out as ‘Superwoman.’ In the first seven songs, she is rapping and singing to hard beats. When you get to tracks 8 through 12, Lil’ Mo sings down with solid r&b lyrics and current melodies. This is the way to come back. Her album is called “No Shit Sherlock” and some of the songs I recommend are “Or Nah”, “iAM Love ft. TC”, “It Aint Num”, “Best Believe ft. Constantine”, “Money Baby”, and “loyalty, Loyalty, Loyaltyyy ft. Da Brat.”
