Shattering iTunes’ record of most albums sold in one week and reviving the Bey Hive, Beyoncé gives fans yet another treat with a behind-the-scenes mini-documentary for the visual album “Beyoncé.”
Even though Beyoncé is certainly not the first artist to release a new album complimented with visuals for each song, she is the first to actually use the power of social media to her greatest advantage. Being able to simultaneously release new content to her fans directly, Bey has also given us a look in to her creativity with this mini-documentary.
With Parts 1 and 2 already online, B reveals her reasoning behind the massive release:
I feel like it’s something that’s lost in pop music. I wanted people to hear things differently and have a different first impression. Not just listen to a 10-second clip but actually see the whole vision of the album.
She also speaks on her ideas of Feminism and how seeing a YouTube clip of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie speaking inspired her.
