Well, another day, and another verse that sets the internet ablaze and further heats the kitchen. If you are still digesting the Kendrick Lamar hip-hip shakedown, leave a little room for Frank Ocean’s appearance on “Sunday.”
The Odd Future Collective, more specifically rapper Earl Sweatshirt and Ocean himself, released the track “Sunday” just a few days ago and it is now making its rounds, as Ocean’s verse clearly shows shots being fired at singer Chris Brown.
In the guitar riffed, bass and drum track, Franky O. raps:
Forgot you don’t like it rough, I mean he called me a faggot.
I was just calling his bluff, I mean how anal am I gonna be when I am aiming my gun?
And why is his mug all bloody? That was a three-on-one.
Standing ovation at Staples, I got my Grammies in gold.”
In what may have been seen as water under the bridge to public eye, that is not the case for Frank Ocean. It looks as though Ocean still has that monkey on his back from the studio parking lot altercation that occurred a few months back, and also the shade Brown threw Ocean’s way last February at the Grammy’s.
Welp.
