Well it seems as though the fit is hitting the shan (no typo) for LA Native Kendrick Lamar and the dust doesn’t seem to be settling anytime soon.
First, I would like to go on record and say that in my opinion, I don’t believe Kendrick Lamar was coming for anyone or their rap careers as stated on Big Sean’s unreleased “Hall Of Fame” ‘Control’ record. By now everyone has heard the infamous verse, so there is no need to name check everyone that Lamar did or did not mention in what may seem to be the Verse of The Year. (Sorry Kanye)
Yes, no one was actually ready for the slaughtering 3-minute verse, but I believe it was just a nod to all of Lamar’s competition in the industry. If it really were anything other that, why would Big Sean even release the track? It was much needed for Hip-Hop but others, namely rappers whom were nowhere to be found in Kendrick’s mentioning, have different opinions.
Everyone from B.o.B., Lupe Fiasco, Diddy, to Phil Jackson, and even Cassidy, yes Cassidy, have all put their change in.
