An Atlanta judge dismissed a motion set forward by Ushers ex Tameka Raymond, who after her son Usher Raymond V nearly drowned this past Monday, requested emergency custody of their two children.
In court Tameka exclaimed, “My son basically died” and had numerous criticisms to dish out about Ushers parenting. Usher himself was not at his house when the accident occurred, but his aunt Rena Oden was and the fact that she was caring for the children and had no formal CPR or first aid certifications upset Tameka. She said “The whole scene was chaos…I think (Oden) is a good person and a nice family member. A nanny, no”. She also claimed that Usher didn’t let her know about the accident until an hour later and didn’t disclose major details.
Of course the judge had the last say and after issuing his decision, Usher and Tameka hugged in the courtroom.
