TLC Announces New Album, Lil Mama To Join As Left Eye on Tour, and VH1’s TLC Movie Trailer

TLC held a press conference this morning and sent their fans into a news overload. They provided many details about their upcoming plans for the group to include a new album. During the conference Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozanda ‘Chilli’ Thomas, announced that they have signed a deal with Epic Records, under their original mentor, LA Reid who signed them to LaFace Records in 1991. The deal will consist of an album featuring all new original material, as well as a 20th anniversary album due October 15 which will feature greatest hits as well as new material written and produced by Lady Gaga, Ne Yo, and appearances by Drake and J. Cole.

Not only that, the ladies announced that for their performance at this coming Saturday’s Mixtape Festival, they will be joined onstage by Lil Mama, who currently stars as Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes in their upcoming VH1 biopic ‘Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story’. Just as she does in her movie role Lil Mama will perform in place of Lisa during the show to be held at Hershey Park.

As one last surprise, during the conference they also unveiled the official trailer for the TLC movie due to air October 22 on VH1. The clip features Lil’ Mama (Left Eye), Keke Palmer (Chilli), and Drew Sidora (T-Boz) as they recreate some of the iconic videos ‘Waterfalls’, and ‘No Scrubs’.
