Producer Sean Garrett stopped by everybody’s favorite morning radio show, NYC’s Power 105.1 ‘The Breakfast Club’ to talk about upcoming projects, artists he’s worked with and his views on the music industry today.
When the topic of conversation turned to R&B singer Brandy, Garrett voiced his displeasure with the industry and the record buying public. “You know what happened? Man, politics got in the way of her album. She should have sold way more albums.” said Garrett. “I get so disappointed with our people, because we don’t stand up for our people. We are not standing up for our artists.” He went on to say “If you see Brandy, pay homage. She is one of the most amazing singers ever. Brandy is our modern day Whitney Houston.”
Well damn, if that ain’t preaching, I don’t know what its! Kudos to Mr. Garrett for speaking his mind and keeping it all the way REAL. We couldn’t agree more!
