Like we said before in reference to the Billboard Music Awards, Expect the unexpected. Last night was an amazing night for music and its lovers. If you watched the same thing as us your face definitely went through a range of emotions as we watched some of our favorite entertainers hit the stage to deliver some amazing, ratchet, or for Miguel “jaw dropping” performances.
Our first Highlight of the day goes to R&B BadBoy Chris Brown. The 24 year old hit the stage to perform his latest single ‘Fine China‘, but vocally gave us broken dishes. Now Chris rarely disappoints us on stage, but that only works when the backtrack is on. Chris claimed to be hoarse last night, but it didn’t stop him from making up with his acrobatic dancing. Luckily we’ve seen Breezy many of times to know that this was just an off night like many have, Breezy is definitely not to played with on the stage. Check out his Kung-Fuesque performance below!
Chris is definitely one of our favorite artist. We just wish he’d spend more time perfecting his craft then clubbing so that he can really shock us with a stellar vocal next time. We give Chris Brown a B-
Next we move on the biggest highlight in Billboard history! R&B crooner Miguel takes the stage and begins to deliver a very usual Miguel set. He definitely has his vocals on tonight, and just can’t seem to stay still. As he croons and swoons his way through the performance of his hit single ‘Adorn‘ , he muscles up enough energy to prepare for take off over a crowd of people. Miguel prepares, then leaps over the crowd coming up short and kicking one girl with his high heeled boot, and landing on another’s neck with his leg. This had to be the funniest yet most shocking moments we have ever seen at any awards show as even after the incident the Cali boy continued to sing ignoring the WWE moment. Miguel will probably be just as shocked when he receives the lawsuit. Get into the moment we’d like to call #2girls1Miguel below.
We give Miggy a A+ for doing something daring and making history. Miguel later tweeted the following.
We move forward into the ceremony and just as we think things couldn’t get any funnier, idol judge Nicki Minaj, and her YMCMB boss Lil Wayne hit the stage to perform their song ‘Highschool‘ for the first time. Nicki comes out rocking all black looking better than ever spitting her verse like the Minaj we fell in love with. She really did seem to be the female Weezy until the real Weezy hit the stage. Wayne comes out delivering his verse, and Nicki transforms into the dancer that we know she isn’t. A chair appears on the stage and the Young Money captain has a seat as he prepares to be seduced by Nicki. This had to be one of the most awkwardly funny seduction moments we have ever seen as Nicki tries to keep up with her dancers, twerking and wining in front of millions of families. It wasn’t that bad, it just wasn’t censored enough as the rap diva swayed her massive rear-end for all to see. We know you love dem strippers Nicki, but just leave it to the strippers.
We give Nicki a C. Wonder what American Idol will have to say about this raunchy performance. It was very unidol-like in my opinion.
