Last night’s idol elimination had to be one the hardest ever. This is the first time in a long that America have chosen the 4 strongest vocalist to actually rightfully remain in the competition. It was anyone’s game. So after the a long nail biting extra week of waiting for the crucial elimination we find out that one of our faves Amber Holcomb will not be returning to the Idol stage to compete. Leaving the final 3 to be country singer Kree Harrison, pop princess Angie Miller, and our fave Soul sanger Candice Glover.
“It got emotional, as one would expect,” said Ryan Seacrest of Amber’s last performance as an Idol contestant. While taking the stage for the final time, Holcomb tackled Whitney Houston’s “I believe in you and me” and was overwhelmed with emotion restricting her from completing the song. Towards the end of the emotional performance her dad joined her on stage, embracing her, leaving not one dry eye in the audience or judging section. We are saddened to see Amber leave but with a voice like that we are sure to see and hear more from her soon!
