Irvo Gotti is speaking out like never before.
The producer sat down with MTV’s Sway for ‘RAPFIX’ . Gotti talked about his love for Def Jam records, wanting to get re-hired and having no love for singer Lloyd.
On Def Jam:
“There is no other hip-hop label like Def Jam. If you don’t want to hire me – the best man for the job, the man who will die for it – cool, I understand. You think I’m Suge Knight, you think the feds may come in here again if you hire me, cool. Put somebody in there, because you not giving any sign or any indication that you care about my culture.”
On Lloyd:
“Lloyd I have no love for. There’s no love, no love. He could walk right past me, he get hit by a car and I’d be like oh word?. I have no love, there’s no love.”
On letting Lloyd go from his contract:
“Then right after that (the release), he did the records with 50 and Lloyd. Like you was waiting to suck these dudes off huh? No pause or none of that. You couldn’t wait to suck them off!”
Ouch.
