TWU: You’re touring with Alicia Keys right now, have you been able to spend a lot of time with her?
Melanie Fiona: Yeah, but not too much time. I’ve definitely got to know her a lot better and we’ve hung out a couple of times.
Â
TWU: Do you ever think about what you could loose by going after your dreams? For example, your privacy?
Â
Melanie Fiona: I’ve definitely thought about that and it’s not something I look forward to. Truthfully, sometimes it comes with the territory but it’s all in how you play it out. You dictate what it is you want to do. I don’t really want to hide anything because like I said I’m like everyone else.
TWU: Have you found the balance (on Twitter) yet with people wanting to know things about you?
Â
Melanie Fiona: The fact that people are even interested in what I’m doing is cool. The social networking sites are such good way to keep in touch with your fans, it’s quick and simple and it keeps your fans interested in what you’re doing.
TWU: If you were going to make a milkshake to describe your music what would it be?
Â
Melanie Fiona: The ice cream would be the drums that would be heavy and loud drums. The milk would be the piano, the base would be the chocolate syrup, the vanilla essence would be the guitar and the cherry on top would be really great vocals. That’s my formula; I really love base drums and keys.
