American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has caused quite a stir with his sexually suggestive performance (that included kissing another male) at least nights American Music Awards. Lambert, who is openly gay, spoke to CNN.com and said it is “a form of discrimination and a double standard” for anyone to object since “women performers have been pushing the envelope” for decades.

To another publication Lambert says : “You know honestly, if I offended some people… it’s apples and oranges. I’m not an artist that does things for every single person. I believe in artistic freedom and expression, I believe in honoring the lyrics of a song, and those lyrics aren’t really for everybody either.”
