Congrats are in order for President Barack Obama as he is the first president to win the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize during his first year in office and one of only four presidents to ever win the prize. Obama was selected not for substantive accomplishments, but for his “vision” and inspiring “hope” at the beginning of his presidency. Obama accepted his win today with a speech outside of the White House, saying “I will accept this award as a call to action”. A White House spokesman says, Obama will donate the roughly $1.4 million award to charity.
