That thumping bassline grabs you right from the jump. So if ya’ ass ain’t ready to dance…then… “Step, step, step back!” Let us know what you think and make sure to check out some of his story below…”SHAKE YA’ PHATT FATT!” lol..

Kemp- Phatt Fatt (Diva Nation Urban Mix)

Kemp- Phatt Fatt (Diva Nation Club Mix)

Singer. Songwriter. Producer. Innovator. Unique. Universal. These are all of the characteristics Kemp has strived for in his short 27 years of life. Hailing from the Wu-Tang’s Clan boro of Shaolin (aka Staten Island/The Forgotten Borough), Kemp has been surrounded by music since he was kid. He watched the greats and knew one day he would be standing up there with them. Kemp has been singing and entertaining ever since he was able to make a sound.  In the fourth grade, he found that had a special gift.  A gift that would soon change the direction of his life.  At age 16, he started writing songs and he found a new way to communicate. After several years of performing throughout NYC ( “The Cutting Room & CBGBs) and being involved in several failed projects (The Underground Reality Show, possible deal with IMG Publishing), Kemp nearly gave up on his dream. Then in 2007, Kemp began recording his debut album independantly, “A Blessing & A Curse,” with Craig Levy (Little Pioneer Cider House) and other producers (Diva Nation, Mike Chek).  He found his voice as a songwriter and as a producer. In 2009, Kemp expects to complete the album. The sound of the album can only be described as R&B music meets Rock, Reggae, Pop, Hip Hop and everything in between.  It is a direct reflection of Kemp’s influences and where Kemp wants to take his audience: To everywhere and back!
